Ms. Amy has taught in England, Spain, Portugal, Egypt and Cambodia. She qualified as a teacher after being part the Eco-schools programme in England. She has international experience working with children in Pre-schools and International schools, predominantly with children with English as an additional language.

Ms. Amy is passionate about play-based learning and supporting children through their early learning journey. She believes in focusing on children as individuals, building on their interests and natural curiosities for the world around them to develop a love of learning.

With a sense of humour and a smile. She is excited each day to welcome her students and families to ensure that the children get the very best experiences.

Miss Amy holds a Bachelor of Education Degree with Honours in Primary Education, specialising in Early Childhood Studies, with Qualified Teacher Status from the University of Plymouth.

She has experience teaching in the Early Years sector internationally. During her time teaching internationally, she gained experience teaching the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework to children with English as an additional language. Over the course of years, Miss Amy worked as a Teacher at an International Kindergarten school in China, teaching the EYFS Framework to children aged 2 and 6 years. She was responsible for assisting all children to develop a love of learning and getting them excited about coming to school each day.

She was also responsible for planning rich and stimulating learning activities that enabled every child in her class to achieve good progress. Whilst working in the Kindergarten she was also responsible for overseeing the standard of other international teachers ensuring high standards of learning were delivered at all times. She later moved to another International Kindergarten where she was the International Teacher for children aged 2-4.

Tara has just achieved a 1st class Primary Education BA Honours degree with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) at Leeds Trinity University, specialising in Early Years and Key Stage 1 graduating with the School Prize for Academic Excellence.

Working with Early Years to Key Stage 1 classes, she has continually developed her teaching skills and educational philosophy through experience in several schools in the UK. Her experience has enabled her to develop and utilise a variety of teaching techniques and gain an understanding of how to effectively plan for the needs of all learners. Not only this, but she has widened her own experience volunteering in Fiji, teaching adults' valuable life skills whilst living amongst the community.

Natalie is an experienced educator with a strong background in both Primary education and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) teaching. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, Primary with QTS from Bishop Grosseteste University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Professional Writing from the University Centre Grimsby in the UK. In addition, She completed a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare in Education from York College, which provided her with essential knowledge and skills in early childhood education.

Throughout her years of experiences in the UK and Bangkok, she has demonstrated a commitment to fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect in the classroom where she models and promotes empathy, instilling in students the importance of understanding and respecting one another, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning community.

Ms. Charlie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status, Bishop Grosseteste University, UK. She has experience teaching in the Primary and Early Years sector. During her time teaching in the UK as a Reception teacher at a Primary School, she has gained experience teaching the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework to children. She has spent the last year working as part of the team at Kensington in Reception.

She has experience teaching systematic phonics to children in the Early Years. She prides herself in making good relationships with adults and children and loves to make learning fun with her many imaginative ideas.

Miss Ami graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Public Relations from Robert Gordon University. After that She had an opportunity to volunteer in a primary 1 class and ended up loving it. She realised where her passion lies and completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Education, Primary Education at University of Aberdeen.

Throughout her degree, Miss Ami got to develop my outdoor education skills, worked with pupils with complex ASN needs and to develop fun and engaging play based learning. She was a Primary 3 teacher in a school where she had a high level of EAL and ASN within her classroom. This helped reinforce her learning, her ability to adapt and differentiate for each subject whilst keeping it inclusive. She then moved into an outdoor kindergarten which focused on Montessori play. Through this time, she engaged more in-depth with outdoor education, forest school and understood the links between the curriculum.

Cassie holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Media Studies from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK. She then gained Early Years Teacher Status and a Postgraduate Certificate in Early Years from University of St. Mark & St. John, Plymouth, UK. Cassie also graduated with a Masters in Education from the University of Plymouth, specialising in education for sustainability.

Following university, Cassie worked as a Kindergarten Supervisor and Teacher in Dubai, then returned to the UK where she worked in a Montessori school and later became Deputy Manager of an Early Learning Centre. Cassie travelled to Australia, where she worked as a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher supporting children to learn empathy, care for the environment and to love and explore the world around them. Cassie has now worked at Kensington for five years. She was a Lead Teacher from Creche to Nursery classes.

Ms. Elise Clark holds a Bachelor of Education Degree with First-Class Honours in Primary Education, specialising in Early Childhood Studies, with Qualified Teacher Status from the University of Plymouth.

She has experience teaching in the Primary and Early Years sector, both in the UK and Internationally. During her time teaching internationally, she gained experience teaching the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework to children with English as an additional language, and the New Zealand Curriculum to children in a multicultural setting. Supporting multilingual speakers in schools is an area she feels passionate about, and she uses many different techniques to engage and motivate her students to make progress in each area of learning and development.

Ms. Elise has worked at Kensington for 2 years as a Toddler Teacher, working with children aged between 2 and 3 years old. Whilst in this role, she was responsible for assisting all children to develop a love of learning and an excitement about coming to school each day. She was also responsible for planning rich and stimulating learning activities that enabled every child in her class to achieve good progress. Whilst working as a Toddler Teacher, Ms. Elise focused heavily on developing her students’ prime areas of learning and development, laying the foundations for success in all areas of learning and of life.

Ms. Sarah holds a Master of Arts Degree in History and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours Class II in History from University of Essex, UK. She gained PGCE at University of East London (London, GB) along with her Qualified Teacher Status.

She has experience teaching in the Primary and Early Years sector, both in the UK and Internationally. During her time teaching internationally, she gained experience teaching the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework to children with English as an additional language at Montessori Kindergarten in Ghana, where she was also level coordinator. She has since returned to the UK and been teaching Primary and EYFS in London. She has spent the last year working as part of the team at Kensington in Reception.

Danielle has been working in Education and Childcare for a number of years. She first started her journey when she completed a Bachelor of Art, Honours in Working with Children and Families. Later, she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in General Primary Teaching at the University of Cumbria in Lancaster

Danielle has taught in numerous schools across Lancashire and Cumbria. She first started her teaching career as a Reception, Year 1 and 2 teacher in Preston where she delivered the EYFS framework alongside KS1 objectives. During this time, she was made Music and Modern Foreign Language (MFL) subject leader and she ran after school clubs in yoga and singing for children across the school. She has taken on many different roles inside and outside of education.

In her final school year, she worked in a nursery with children ages 3-4. Danielle has a strong passion for music and the outdoors, she values the importance of self-expression and uses music, dance and drama techniques in her teaching. Danielle loves the outdoors, and she has experience teaching forest schools. She is looking forward to exploring our play-based curriculum and joining our team at Kensington.

These are values I try to instil in my students through well-thought and engaging lessons, and in all other interactions with them throughout the school day.

I highly value the progress and development of children not just in the classroom on an academic level, but also outside the classroom to develop the whole child. I believe to make this possible it is crucial to engage with children in a relationship of trust so that they can be inspired to discover and develop their own identity as a person and a learner. My greatest enjoyment as a teacher is to create an environment that gives children the opportunity to develop and progress, and to see their confidence grow.

I am a reflective practitioner, and I am always looking for ways I can improve in my role as an educator.

Through working collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents, and keeping up to date with current professional practice, I enjoy the process of continuing to improve in my role as a teacher.

Miss Amy holds a Post Graduate Certificate of Education including Qualified Teacher Status from Manchester Metropolitan University.

She has experience teaching Early Years and Primary, both in the UK and Internationally. During her time teaching in the UK, she specialised in Early Years as well as teaching Key Stage 1 and her experience includes youth mental health training, implementation of new schemes of work, i.e., a new phonics programme and working closely with SEND.

Miss Amy has prior experience working in an international setting teaching bilingual children in Thailand. As well as teaching, she undertook the role of Deputy Head leading a team of colleagues to provide a positive learning experience for all children daily. Furthermore, this role included working closely with the children’s families and providing support when required.

In my classroom, I set high expectations of both behaviour and learning. I focus on building mutually respectful relationships that encourage students to explore, question, discover on their own and take ownership of their learning journey. My goal is to instil a passion for lifelong learning.

I believe in the transformative power of reading; exposing students to the worlds of knowledge and opportunities that lie within the pages of books, the wonders of literature, rich narratives, diverse characters and thought-provoking themes. I firmly advocate for embedding key mathematical concepts at a young age, emphasising the significance of employing the concrete, abstract, pictorial method.

I set challenging, yet attainable goals to meet the diverse needs of all learners, encouraging each student to strive for excellence, in all of their endeavours.

I want students to be excited to come to school and to be passionate about learning.

I achieve this by putting learners at the centre of everything I do, whether that is planning, teaching, or setting up my classroom. I believe that children learn best through active, hand-on lessons which will help them understand life beyond the classroom. I think it is important for students to be given freedom and opportunities to be curious, to be creative and to experiment. I view my role as a facilitator who guides each child along their own unique learning journey.

I am proud to be a positive role model for my students and I strive to make myself a happy, life-long learner, just like them. I am constantly learning and looking for opportunities to grow and develop my own skills. My favourite recent professional development course was called ‘Mindfulness Fundamentals’ as it taught me new ways to help students grow and deal with difficult emotions. I am excited to continue my own growth as part of the Kensington community.

My love of teaching truly stems from my love of learning. Seeking new challenges and experiences, allows us all to grow and develop. All children should have their talents nurtured and celebrated. We must raise the aspirations of our young people, foster their ambitions and allow them to become the best possible examples of themselves. To my mind, the primary objective of education should be to produce well-rounded citizens who positively impact society. I followed my personal calling to become a teacher so that I could inspire and motivate our children to develop their own love of learning. During my teaching career so far, I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to maintaining an excellent quality of education for all students. I have taught children from many nationalities and cultures and every single child has had their own unique perspective and needs.

Building relationships with my students is of the utmost importance to me. Understanding their needs and what they’re interested in helps to develop a nurturing classroom environment. One parent, whose child joined mid-year, once told me that their child felt safe and loved from the moment they set foot in our classroom. I hope that every child I teach is able to feel the same way. I am eager to meet my new class and learn all about them.”

PE and Swimming lessons should be high energy and challenging for the children both physically and mentally. For the children to grow into confident movers it is important that a solid physical foundation is built based around gross motor skills.

In order to instil a love of sport from a young age it is my job to ensure that all the children leave the lessons with big smiles on their faces.

I aim to bring a positive attitude to the lessons and in turn children will be inspired and love to learn how to move their bodies, becoming lifelong movers!”
