Leadership

Leadership

At Kensington, we believe that every student has the potential to be a leader. Our student leadership activities are designed to inspire, empower, and equip our students with the skills and confidence they need to make a positive impact in their school, community, and beyond.

Leadership Opportunities for All
We provide a variety of leadership opportunities that cater to the diverse interests and strengths of our students. From classroom responsibilities and student council roles to leading school-wide initiatives and community service projects, every student has the chance to develop their leadership abilities.

Developing Essential Skills
Our leadership activities focus on developing essential skills such as:
Communication: Encouraging students to express their ideas clearly and listen to others.
Collaboration: Fostering teamwork and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
Critical Thinking: Promoting problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Responsibility: Teaching students to take ownership of their actions and lead by example.

Student Council and Committees
Our Student Council and various student-led committees play a crucial role in representing the student body, organising events, and initiating positive changes within the school. These groups provide students with a platform to voice their opinions, propose ideas, and work collaboratively to enhance the school environment.

Mentorship and Peer Support
Older students have the opportunity to mentor younger peers, providing guidance and support. This mentorship fosters a sense of community and helps all students build confidence and leadership skills through positive role modelling.

Celebrating Leadership Achievements
We celebrate and recognise the achievements of our student leaders through awards, assemblies, and special events. By highlighting their contributions, we inspire other students to take on leadership roles and strive for excellence.
