This week, the primary children at Kensington had the incredible opportunity to join a special Zoom call with scientists currently stationed in Antarctica.
Hosted by the National Science Museum, the session captivated the students as the scientists shared insights into their research, the vital data they are collecting, and the fascinating environment they work in. The children watched in awe as they were shown live experiments and introduced to the unique wildlife of Antarctica.
The scientists also highlighted the impact of climate change, explaining how rising temperatures are causing the ice to melt. It was an unforgettable experience, giving the children a firsthand look at the important scientific work being done in one of the most remote places on Earth.

กิจกรรมครั้งนี้จัดโดยพิพิธภัณฑ์วิทยาศาสตร์แห่งชาติ เด็กๆ ต่างตื่นเต้นและตั้งใจฟังขณะที่นักวิทยาศาสตร์อธิบายเกี่ยวกับงานวิจัย ข้อมูลสำคัญที่พวกเขากำลังเก็บรวบรวม พร้อมทั้งได้ชมการทดลองและสัตว์น่าทึ่งที่อาศัยอยู่ในขั้วโลกใต้
นอกจากนี้ นักวิทยาศาสตร์ยังพูดถึงผลกระทบของการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศที่ทำให้อุณหภูมิสูงขึ้นและน้ำแข็งละลาย ทำให้เด็กๆ ได้เรียนรู้และเข้าใจถึงความสำคัญของการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมมากขึ้น
เป็นประสบการณ์ที่น่าทึ่งและเป็นแรงบันดาลใจ เปิดโลกกว้างให้กับเด็กๆ ได้เห็นถึงความสำคัญของงานวิทยาศาสตร์ในพื้นที่ที่ไกลที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของโลก!
