What an incredible finish to our Volcano Project! Over the past few weeks, Chang Class became geologists, historians, artists, and reporters as they explored what volcanoes are, why they erupt, and how eruptions impact people’s lives.

At the start of the project, the children helped shape the project by asking their own guiding questions and taking on different roles, working together to create a Volcano Museum filled with models, writing, and artwork. Using Escape from Pompeii, they deepened their understanding of Ancient Rome, built subject knowledge, and wrote for a real audience.

The children worked through a full design journey by researching real eruptions, planning exhibits, building junk models, drafting and editing their writing, and then presenting their learning confidently to visitors. In Art & STEAM sessions, they created three collaborative mosaics, showing brilliant teamwork, patience and attention to detail.

A real highlight was seeing the children confidently act as tour guides, sharing “wow facts,” explaining their learning, and answering questions with pride. The Exhibition ended with a joyful musical performance, making it a truly memorable experience.

Thank you to all families who visited and supported the Exhibition. We are so proud of the children and everything they have achieved!
