This year, our Kensington community came together for two incredible Sports Days โ first with our Reception and Year 1 children, followed by our energetic Year 2, 3, and 4 students. Both days were filled with energy, excitement, and true Kensington spirit!
๐ Reception & Year 1 Sports Day
Our Reception began with a friendly Parent Quiz and a colourful House Parade, where families proudly earned points and children showcased their Houses โ Fire, Earth, Water, and Air.

Children rotated through their House station activities, such as the Bounce Back Challenge and Floating Fish, earning valuable House points while showing fantastic teamwork, determination, and encouragement. Active Teamwork was definitely seen throughout Sports Day, one of our Kensington Dreams. Lovely to see!

After a well-deserved snack break, the children jumped into their individual races, including the ever-popular Sack Race and Sprint Race. Every child gave their best effort, and the cheers from friends and families made the atmosphere even more special.

The fun wasnโt just for the children โ parents joined in the always-popular House Tug of War, bringing laughter and excitement to the sidelines.

We ended the day with a joyful medal ceremony, where every child received a participation medal and our top performers were celebrated with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards. Congratulations to Water House for taking home the overall win! ๐

๐ Year 2, 3 & 4 Sports Day
The following day, our older students filled the field with action, starting with a Parent Quiz and spirited House Parade, with parents proudly adding points to their childrenโs Houses.

Children then rotated through their exciting House station activities, including the fast-paced Hungry Hippos game and the classic Egg and Spoon Race. Teamwork, courage, and determination were on full display, embodying our Kensington value of Active Teamwork.

The highlight of the morning came with the individual events: the Javelin Throw, Hurdle Race, and Sprint Race. Cheers from classmates and families created an electric atmosphere as our young athletes showed skill, sportsmanship, and resilience.
Once again, the parents joined in for the much-loved House Tug of War, adding to the festive spirit of the day.

The event closed with a celebratory medal ceremony, recognising every child with a medal and awarding our top 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. A big congratulations to Fire House for their overall victory!

STAY ACTIVE, KENSINGTON! ๐
