What a fabulous treat we had this morning to celebrate the festival of Diwali.
One of our Indian parents performed a short dance in traditional Indian costume with Khun Pooja, an Indian dance teacher and choreographer. They performed two dances before teaching our children and parents some Indian dance moves to music. Thank you, ladies for sharing such a lovely positive-feeling festival with our Kensington Family.
The school also provided traditional samosas and pakoras for everyone to try.
During the week the staff provided a range of Diwali activities for the children to experience. These included roti-making, Rangoli patterns with rice, sand and coloured stones, Mendi patterns on hands and arms, stories, firework art, diva lamps and much more.
We truly have an international flavour in school this term.
